i am terribly proud of our aunty ahzi!because she has magnanimously given up the award for best local artiste for this year's SHA.
you guys might be thinking, what's so magnanimous of her giving up the award?or you guys might even think, wah u wan to hao lian ar?but to us, it's a noble act, because we rarely see singers who will give up any award and be asked to be the presenter for the award instead. yes indeed that most of us felt terribly shocked when she dropped the bombshell.
but after the initial shock, we began to think of the reasons that she cited for giving up the award, and hell yeah, it's feasible!why not give other artistes a chance?there's so many other promising singers in singapore, like gong. actually there's only gong which i really admire. her critics will tink that she can't get the award this year, so she choose to back out. it's like wth?the award is based on performance charts, there's no cheating about in the nomination catagory.
and yes 933 probably also heard the news the same time as us. and to prove that yanzi is really really gonna give out the award, her place has been taken over by huang junyang. it's abit T_T la, because he has been quite invisible the whole year, now it looks as if lin jun jie will win the award, which is rather okay. so long as the hippo is not winning it.
words cannot express how much awe and respect i have for ahzi. i have always loved her attitude and singing, but now i love her even more for the sheer generosity of the entire saga. always holding her head high no matter what people might say about her, and as long as she tinks it's right, she will do it.
she'll always be my role model to look up to.
updates on yesterday's bao chang hui and campus superstar will be on the next post. probably tml!i just wanna dedicate this post to ahzi all alone. to tell her that i will support her in the decision, and probably everyone else in the forum and fc will support her decision.
you have my respect and awe. thank you.
