anyways, section competition 2007 is over. and nope, we didn't win again. but i am pleased with the effort that the section has put in, and the seniors for supporting my decision in the course towards the competition day. although we didn't perform as well as i thot we could, i am still very proud of my section. good job guys
anyways back to japan update!
2nd day!!!!!! this time was more fun. because we had the band music exchange to look forward to!firstly though. we had to go to a shopping district which is something like our takashimaya!wheeeeeeeee! not that it was a chore, but i was more than happy muahahahhaa!
the shopping center was freaking big. me and joyce thought that it was quite small. but to our amazement, there was actually another wing connected to the place we were shopping and sad to say, we couldn't finish shopping by the time the hour was up.
however, joyce being joyce. she definitely can shop anywhere. and i myself also bought some stuff along that way. it cant be compared to joyce anyway. lol
set off for koyodai high school after that and boy. i was damn amazed. they have their own concert hall man!and it's definitely soooooooo much better than sp convention center. and they have separate boys and girls schools. haha. we alighted at the boys school and all the girls were like staring at the LITTLE BOYS lol!
got up on stage to check the instruments and omg!the instruments they have are so top of the state high class freaking good instruments. how i wish SP can give us limitless amount of money to buy instruments haha. anyway we played the four pieces and omg. bahn frei was crazy. the tempo was so unsteady and the whole ting almost collapsed. LOL
after us, it was the high school's turn. take note that all of the band members were ladies or girls to be more precise. and they simply wowed us with their playing and SINGING. yes, there was one part of the piece that they were playing where they had to sing. and all of them sang with smiles on their faces. haiii. there was this flute player that was freaking good also. haha. mebbe i should have squeezed cindy into my luggage bag and bring her to japan along. xD
i have to say though. language barrier is really a problem. haha. we had difficulties discussing on how to split the parts for postcard from singapore. in the end, we still managed to use the most common form of communication: hand signs. xD took pictures with the whole band and the girls after that. and i tink randy was secretly pleased he was the only guy in the section to come for the japan trip. though weiloong could have found his future fiancee here =D
pics with the girls (any guys reading my blog, please dun lust after them. they're only btw 15-17):
group pic
the SL of the section. she's freaking pro
the other members of the section [so sorry i forgot all their names T_T]
the final official group photo:
pleasant experience. though i didn't learn as much as i did as compared to the school in the third day. i still noticed that their discipline and everything was pretty much better than us.
headed off to dinner after that and YAY we got to eat barbequed meat!and the best part of the dinner was: zeyu was sitting at the table with me and joyce MUAHAHAHHA!never in my life would i expect that hahaha. =x and the meat was freaking freaking good. pork and beef all around xD
went off for more shopping after reaching back at the hotel. and i bought some stuff for some people. one of them is my BELOVED irritating brother:
and this was what joyce bought on that day.
wonder when is she going to quit her habit of shopping addictively. i tink never xD
part 2 of the japan trip is up. 3 more parts coming up!
men should not accept our destiny, we should choose it.
never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
