Oh yeap, I swear this will be the final chunk of TVB news that I will put up already. But I cannot not post it, because it's got me quite riled when I knew of it! This is the TVB Annual Awards Ceremony where awards are given out to TVB actors/actresses who deserve a recognition for the good acting that they put in!

But, as usual, there're some controversies and I'm not exactly happy with the overall result!

The TVB 40th Anniversary Awards ceremony was held today at TVB City, and 17 coveted golden trophies were presented to the best of this year's small screen achievements. As expected, Heart Of Greed <溏心風暴> dominated the evening and Moses Chan (陳豪) finally had his moment, scooping the double by being named as Best Actor as well as Favourite TV Character.

Top 5: Bobby AuYeung, Raymond Lam, Ha Yu, Moses Chan, Damien Lau

Moses Chan (陳豪) Heart Of Greed <溏心風暴>

Hmmm, I feel this is a satisfactory choice since Moses really acted well inside here. But I would have preferred Damien to win! However, because the Drive of Life wasn't really well received, so I guessed that affected the result. On the other hand, Heart of Greed really threw the ratings up into the sky, so Moses would have won it.

Lee Si Kei (李司棋) Heart Of Greed <溏心風暴>

Ahhhhhh runaway winner! The award was Lee Si Kei's the moment Heart of Greed was shown. Her acting really rocked balls in the show! I'm a little sad that Jessica didn't win for Dicey Business but that's all right. Coming up against a veteran actress and one who's bloody good at it, losing the award actually has a satisfaction.

Louis Yuen (阮兆祥) Heart Of Greed <溏心風暴>

Eeeeeee, I didn't like Louis at all in Heart of Greed. I thought his acting was abit over, and that he was quite whiny in the show. I would have preferred Benz to win, because his acting is superb! From the first show I watched with him inside, all the way till this year in Dicey Business, I tink Benz deserves the nod more than Louis!

Hmm, I can't really comment on this since I haven't watched Steps. But I've heard that Fala's acting is quite good. But at the same time, I wanted Florence Kwok to win because I saw her in Dicey Business, and I heard she acted really well in On The First Beat. Leila didn't win also!! OMG!

IT SHOULD HAVE GONE TO RAYMOND!!!!!! He was simply the best as Alfred in Heart of Greed and Moses has already won best actor! Argh, why does TVB have to give 2 awards to a person every year? [Last year it was Charmaine] In my very very honest opinion, I daresay that people loved Alfred more than Duk Duk Dei. Even Bobby would have been a better choice!

Lol, it was one or the other. Lee Si Kei and Susanna Kwan have to take an award back that night, because both of their performances in Heart of Greed was just superb. One ting though, Susanna's character in the show was bad, and I really hated her to the core. So why did she get favourite female TV character? Jessica in Dicey Business would have been a better choice!!!

Yet another dumb decision. Fala, Bernice and Natalie would have been better contenders to take the award. And Kate's acting is really not good! Urgh, I was hoping Fala or Bernice or Natalie won the award. Because they improved more than her, especially Bernice!

Another runaway award. But I'm not exactly happy with it. Thought Dicey Business was better, and that Heart of Greed really won too many awards for it to be realistic! But I have to admit, it's a really good show and they deserve the win. They should have just given the award to all the 3 shows! LOL

Overall Comments on the results:

Most of them were rather expected, given TVB's penchant for favoring some people. But I don't get it why TVB has to leave Myolie out EVERY SINGLE TIME. She's one of the best natural actresses around already, yet TVB doesn't cherish her. By looking at next year's line up of dramas, I can foresee that Myolie's not going to win again. :(

One good ting though. PICTURE OF THE MOMENT! Myolie walking down with Raymond! Ahhhhhh, perfect couple!
